Fellowship Opportunities

Environment America 2010-2012 Fellowship
Environment America, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting environmental research and policy, is recruiting for their 2010-2012 Fellowship Program. Fellows will be given the opportunity to make immediate impact while gaining the training and experience needed to become a leader in the environmental movement. Environment America is seeking recent college graduates to join their team. Recruiters will be on campus November 11th from 5-7pm in Mattin 162 for an information session and will conduct interviews on November 12th all day in Garland Hall. Read the full description of the Fellowship Program.

The National Wildlife Federation (NWF) is offering grants of $2,000 (undergraduate) to $5,000 (graduate) for its Campus Ecology Fellowship. Monetary fellowship grants are awarded to undergraduate and graduate students working with members of the faculty,staff or administration on projects designed to help reverse global warming on campus and beyond. Deadlines are October 1st, November 14th and February 2nd. See NWF for more information and to apply.

Energy Action Coalition
Led by and for young people, the 50 leading organizations, 700 local groups, and hundreds of thousands of supporters that make up the Energy Action Coalition (EAC) leverage their collective resources to create a clean and equitable energy future. The EAC has four positions available including a Field Director, a Communications Director, a Managing Director and Fellowships. For specific job descriptions and to apply visit EAC. Event Coordinator, One Less Car
One Less Car, a non-profit organization working throughout Maryland to reduce car use by increasing walking, biking, carpooling, mass transit, telecommuting and flex scheduling, seeks an experienced event coordinator. The primary responsibilities for this position are to plan the annual Tour du Port event. This event is a one-day bicycling tour through eight historic and scenic Baltimore area parks, neighborhoods and waterfront areas that attracted more than 2,000 participants. Green Home Energy Inspector, TerraLogos
TerraLogos Green Home Services is looking for talented and motivated individuals for Home Inspector Trainees. A TerraLogos Green Home Energy Inspector works directly with homeowners to lower energy use, increase home comfort and minimize carbon footprints. Principle duties include perform energy inspections for homeowners in the Baltimore/Washington area, prepare a written Home Energy Report for homeowner, and distribute and/or install basic home energy conservation measures. Inspectors will be trained by and will report to the Director of Energy Services. Benefits package including health coverage, paid holidays & sick leave, after completion of probation period.
